About Our Pastor

William Andrew Best, Jr. hails from Middletown, New York, a small town at the foot of the Catskill Mountains. As a young boy, realizing a gift in music at the age of four years old, Bishop Best is no stranger to the church. Growing up in the Church of God In Christ as the son of a minister, he understands well what it means to serve others. He played the piano in the church from eight years old and became the minister of music at age twelve. God has given him the gift of perfect pitch and an ear to hear all kinds of music. He is also a gifted songwriter and producer and has worked with many different mega ministries. Bishop Best has had the opportunity to serve as musical director for Gladys Knight as well as the Backstreet Boys, Fred Hammond and many others. In 2000, he started a singing group “Andrew Best & Restored” that sang nationally and abroad spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. In 2010, Worship World Church recorded its first CD with its singing aggregation “The Sound of Worship.” The CD is entitled, “Worship World Church presents Pastor Andrew Best & the Sound of Worship” featuring its title track, “You Can Make It.” For many years, Bishop Best knew he was called to preach, but ran from the calling. In 2003, after yielding to the call and being ordained and licensed, he has served on numerous ministerial counsels and staffs. He has also been blessed with many honors and privileges such as being the invited guest of numerous democratic award ceremonies and banquets. The Worship World Church changed its name to The Voice Church on June 10, 2018. Bishop Best currently serves as the Senior Pastor and Founder of The Voice Church, a non-denominational Christian Church, that was birthed in Laurel, Maryland in 2007. Also, on June 10, 2019, Bishop Best was elevated to the posture and position of The Bishopric and consecrated on May 3, 2019, as the covering of churches under the auspices of Worship World Churches International Fellowship. He has established two other churches, The Voice Church, Waldorf, Maryland, September 2016, and the True Worship Fellowship, Altoona, PA, in 2012, under the leadership of Pastor Katina Curry. Bishop Best and The Voice Church are under the pastoral covering of Pastor John K. Jenkins, First Baptist Church of Glenarden, in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mortuary Science from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science and received a Master of Arts, Pastoral Theology, Washington Baptist Theological Seminary, May 2019. Bishop Best is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree at the Maple Springs Baptist Bible College and Seminary.Bishop Best has three wonderful children; Hunter who resides in the New York area and Savanna, and Daniel, who reside in the Maryland area.

Pastor Best and the Worship World Church are under the pastoral covering of Pastor Anthony G. Maclin, Sanctuary at Kingdom Square in Capitol Heights, Maryland.

He has a heart for missions and has traveled throughout the U.S. as well as abroad to Africa, Jamaica, London, China and Germany.

Pastor Best received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Mortuary Science from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1996, and is currently pursuing a second degree in Christian Counseling.

Pastor Best has been blessed with three beautiful children; Hunter, Savanna, and Daniel.
